It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of Sylvester Saverimuthu. A devoted husband to Anna Mary Sylvester for 51 years. A loving father of Mary Ruby Sylvester (Andrew Moulton) and a proud grandfather of Isabelle Sylvie Moulton. He was born to the late Saverimuthu Mariampillai and the late Marypillai Bastianpillai in Karampon, Kayts, Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He was the younger brother of Ariyaratnam (Daisy) and predeceased by Joseph (Jane). In 1984, Sylvester made the bold journey to Canada in search of new opportunities and a better future for his loved one. With courage and determination, he built a life grounded in hard work, sacrifice, and hope – values that defined him throughout his life. A gifted draftsman, Sylvester dedicated 33 years to the Town of Richmond Hill, retiring at the remarkable age of 78.
