Rev. Fr. ATHANASIUS SAMARASINGHE, of the Archdiocese of Colombo, expired on Tuesday 24th March 2026. He is the beloved son of the late Mr Alexander Samarasinghe and late Mrs M.D. Cecilia. The mortal remains of Rev. Fr. Athanasius Samarasinghe will be brought to St. Joseph’s Church, Thillanduwa on Wednesday, 25th March at 10.00 a.m. for public viewing. Thereafter his remains will be transferred to St. Anne’s Church, Palangatura at 7.30 p.m. The Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 26th March at 3.00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church, Palangatura followed by burial at the Catholic Cemetery, Palangatura.
