It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Dr. Wimal Hettlarachchi. former Director of Economic Research and Executive Director of the Central Sank of Sri Lanka, former Alternate Executive Director of the International Monetary fund, Washington, D.C., former Chairman, Securities and Exchange Cceenisdon of Sri tank, and former Senior Visiting Fellow at the institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka. Beloved husband of late Damayanthi Hettiarachchi (retired Central Bank of Sri tanks) and cherished father of Manjula, Shyamani and Mangala, loving father.ln-law of Shevanthi and Randika and affectionate grandfather of Shamal, Akindhu and Ayaara. Family and friends are invited to pay their last respects from Tuesday, May 26th from 3 p.m. onwards at his residence at No 30 Jaya Mawatha, Ratmalana. The cortege leaves the residence on Wednesday, May 27 at 2:15 p.m. for cremation at the Mount Lavinia Cemetery at 3 p.m.
