The members of the Council of Past Governors of Lions District 306 D1 convey our deepest sympathies on the passing away of Past District Governor Lion Abey Silva , to his wife , Past Council Chairman Lion Marcella Silva , son Niroshan , daughter in law Maneesha , two grand children and other members of his family. Lion Abey Silva, was District Governor of District 306 – A in the year 1993-1994. He was the founder of the Lions Gift of Sight Hospital, Panadura and managed the hospital during its initial years of service to the public of Sri Lanka.
Remains lie at the residence till 3.30 pm on 3rd September 2026 No. 250 Galle road , Ratmalana. Cremation will take place at the crematorium Borella kanatte, opposite Devi Balika Vidyalaya at 5 pm on the 3rd September 2026.
We request all Lions to gather at the entrance at 4:45pm to pay their last respect as a Lion.
