JAYAWARDENA – DR. ALAN BRIAN PINTO. Husband of the late Susyma Dorothy Pinto-Jayawardena (nee De Saa Bandaranayake), dearly beloved father of Sureni and Kishali, father-in-law of Rohantha, loving grandfather of Rukshan and Dinuk, brother of late Beryl, late Lucille, Neville and Ruth and brother-in-law of late Raja, Ranjith and Gamini De Saa Bandaranayake, passed away on 17th February 2026. A private funeral was held at No 23, Walauwatte Place, off Galpotta Road, Nawala Road, Rajagiriya, according to his wishes. The family thanks all those who sent messages of condolences on the passing away of a true son of Sri Lanka whose quiet faith, integrity and deep compassion distinguished his life.
