Vernon Upatissa Fernando, born on the 11th of March 1919 and taken from us far too soon on the 12th of December 1975, was a distinguished Lion Governor and was an eminent lawyer whose dedicated service to the Kalutara Bar earned deep admiration. He married Kamala Fernando and together they were blessed with six children. Today, as we mark fifty years since your passing, we fondly remember you, dear Thaththa. Though so many years have gone by, not a single day passes without us recalling your guidance, your strength, and the sacrifices you made to shape us into who we are today.
