DE SILVA – MAURICE – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of MAURICE DE SILVA on 29th September 2025 in UK. Maurice was born on 20th December 1940 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to late Marcus and Matilda De Silva. He was a beloved husband to the late Eroma De Silva; a much-loved father to Melanie Davenport and Mignonne De Silva and grandfather to Alessia De Silva, Thomas Devenport and Olivia Davenport; cherished brother to Luke De Silva, Scholastica Madigasekera and the late Mervyn, Frank, Christie, Gerrard De Silva and Glency Wijesekera. A funeral to commemorate Maurice will be held in Chelmsford, Essex, UK on October 11th 2025.
