FERNANDO – BERTHA (nee KERNER), (a cherished retired Consular Section employee of the US Embassy), passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Mr Stanley Somatilleke Fernando, devoted mother to Kanchana Charlene, Fernando and loving grandmother of Tevin Methmira Rupasinghe. She was also a dear sister to Christobel Wickremaratne and Danister Kerner. Her remains lie at her residence No. 24, Sangabo Mawatha, Borupana, Ratmalana. Cortege leaves at 3.00 p.m. on Saturday 7th September 2024 for Burial at the General Cemetery. (R.C. Section) Borella.
