CYNTHIA MARGUERITE MENDIS FGA – Cynthia,​ wife of the late Dr L.S.C. Mendis,​ mother of Dr Tilak Mendis (Dr Neila Mendis) and Kumar Mendis (Christine Mendis),​ beloved grandmother of Lauren Garvey (Greg Garvey),​ Dr Nicholas Mendis (Dr Arielle Singer),​ Dr Bernard Mendis (Dr Karolina Jaluba) and Amy Mendis and great-grandmother of Raya,​ Leora,​ Alayna,​ Noah,​ passed away peacefully in her 97th year in Toronto,​ Canada. Cynthia achieved Fellowship in the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and practiced as a professional Gemmologist in Halifax and Ottawa before retirement. Private service and cremation according to her wishes
