Mrs Deanna Christine de Mel

The funeral of Mrs Deanna Christine de Mel (Maiden name: Rodrigues) took place on 12th March 2024 in the UK.
Deanna, 78 died on the 14 February 2024, from Ischemic Heart Failure following a heart attack and hospital treatment. Her family are deeply saddened by her sudden and unexpected loss.
Loving wife to  Ranmal and mother to 3 sons: Ushan, Anura and Srisanth. Doting grandmother to Thea and Xavier
Deanna was born on the 28th October 1945 to Stanley and Princeia Rodrigues in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She was one of seven with 5 sisters; Joan, Charmaine, Dawn, Heather and Princess and one brother: late Ainsworth. She attended Holy Family Covent in Colombo attaining O’Levels, before qualifying a secretary/ typist. She went to London in the mid 60s where she met and married her husband, Ranmal on the 10th February 1968.  They built a life and family together living initially in London and then Maidstone, Hastings, Woking over the years and then in 1984 retuned to Sri Lanka before returning
