JAYASUNDERA – USHA KUMARI nee DAS 06/12/1948 – 21/08/2024 was born en route between North India and England. She grew up in London’s East End and Dublin and in 1964 married Mahendra Sanath Jayasundera, then moving to Colombo to have their children Hiran & Thusitha. Usha reached generations of small children teaching English classes. She is survived by Thusitha, Simon and her grandson – Fred. Usha will be at “The Restpect Home” by Jayaratne’s Chapel of Rest, 483, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 8 from 9.30 a.m. Friday from 23rd until 4.00 p.m. Saturday, 24th August. She will be cremated at 4.30 p.m. in Borella New Crematorium.
