Akolis Appuhamy De Silva, and cherished wife of the late Mr. Wilson George Weeraratne (former Chairman of Ceylon Plywood Corporation / Consultant Asian Development Bank and the UN) Devoted mother to Malraj, Preethiraj, and Suraj Weeraratne, Mother-in-Law to Betty and Sandhya, Adored grandmother to Iraj, Rishini, Rebecca, Ramaine, Anneka, and Arran Weeraratne, Loving great-grandmother to Amelia Wilson, Caiden, Dylan, and Ethan Ranasinghe, Passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024. The funeral will be held on July 24, 2024, at the Jayaratne Respect Funeral Home, with the cortege departing for cremation at 4:00pm at the BoreIla Cemetery.
