MRS. FONSEKA-BERTHA OLIVIA (nee FERNANDO)

FONSEKA-BERTHA OLIVIA (nee FERNANDO) peacefully passed away at her home on the 9th of January, in her 95th year, surrounded by family. She was the cherished wife of the late Charles E. Fonseka, a devoted mother to Sunil, Darshani, Sriyani, Nimal and Salini and a loved mother-in- law to the late Ranjit Fonseka and Ranjit Perera. Bertha was a beloved grandmother to Ranyani, Suren, Navin, Sriyanjit, Dilrukshi, Ransri, Adrian, Rajini and Melissa and an adored great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted sister to the late Bede, late Thelma, Hyacinth, Pam and Hermie and cherished sister-in-law to the late Girlie, late Christie, late Walter, late Sonna and Joe De Livera. Grateful acknowledgements to devoted caregivers Padmalatha and Duminda Perera, as well as the companionship of residents and staff at Parkwest Apartments.
