It is with the most profound sadness that we announce the recent demise of Mrs. Amrisha Swahi Akila Parathalingam Deraniyagala. Amrisha passed away in the afternoon of September 23, 2025 at Asiri Surgical Hospital, after a most heroic and daring battle with cancer. She was merely 43 years of age at the time of her untimely demise, and is survived by her loving husband Chanrudh Deraniyagala, her father S.A Parathalingam, her mother Dilukshi Sirimane, her brothers Anish & Nishkan Parathalingam, her step-children Dhiren & Teja Deraniyagala, and her fur-children Frank, Kithul and Mungo Nona.
Amrisha’s funeral service was held at the Borella cemetery on September 24, 2025 at 5pm. Her family expresses their most sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who reached-out during this very difficult time. There will be no day, and no moment, where Amrisha will not be deeply missed, loved and remembered by those whom she loved most, and who loved her more.
