funerals.lk takes pride in its ethical and service stance and as such has developed the following policies that lay at the heart of its operations.

1. The right to post a notice FREE

We believe that everyone has a right to post an obituary or related notice on our site and as a result strive to always keep the right to post free to you. For this purpose, we give each of our patrons 3 free notices per month. 

2. We will NOT make a profit out of Charities & Donations

While we have certain costs that are incurred when collecting donations for individuals and for Charities, and we may charge to cover those costs, we will never endeavor to profit out of them. We do this service as a Company that is both ethical and one with a conscience.

3. Respect all religions and creeds equally

Sri Lanka is a multi cultural country with many religions and belief systems. We at funerals.lk respect and honour each of them equally and strive to always be impartial and respectful to all of them.

4. We will not tolerate misuse, abuse or misrepresentation.

While we may not have full control over what is posted on our site at all times, be always strive to ensure that there is no misuse or abuse within the site. We have several moderation processors set to check, review, and take action on any cases that are malicious or abusive on site. 

5. Refunds & exchange policy

  • Refunds on promotions for notices
    • Refunds on the promotions for notices will only be accepted if it is informed to [email protected] within 6 hours of the promotion going live.
  • Refunds on 3rd party products & services
    • Refunds on 3rd party or partner affiliates or vendors are governed by each of their individual refunds policy. (Please refer the policies of the respective stores at their product page or at their store pages.)
    • funerals.lk will always accommodate and review any exceptions that may arise where you may feel that you have been unjustly penalized. We will review the request and get back to you within 48 hours.
    • To make a request for a refund, please contact the store that you purchased your product/service. You can find the contact information on the store page.
    • Should you still be dissatisfied after the fact, you can place a request to funerals.lk at [email protected]. Remember to clearly state your order number, the issue and your request. 
  • Refunds on memberships & vendor subscriptions
    • Refunds on memberships and vendor subscriptions will only be accommodated within the first 5 days of the membership/vendor shop going live and if no more than 10 notices or products have been up uploaded to the store/shop.

 

Company SLAs (Service Level Agreements)

  • Time to approve and post a notice (2 hours)
  • Time to approve/reject a “Donor request” (6 hours)
  • Time to approve a promotion (Instant)
  • Time to review & approve/reject a member (2 Business days)
  • Time to review and approve/reject a vendor (2 Business days)
  • Time to respond to refunds or exchange requests (2 Business days)
