Dr. D. S. LIYANARACHCHI, retired Consultant Surgeon, passed away peacefully on the morning of the 8th of November 2025. He was the beloved husband of Lilamani, loving father of Bimalka, Miyuru and Ruchini, brother of late Shantha, late Sudharma and Mangala, father-in-law of Roshani, Apeksha and Dinusha, cherished grandfather of Sienna, Yevin, Ehas and Keyara. His remains will lie at Jayaratne Funeral Services – ‘Restpect’ Parlour on 10th and 11th November for family and friends to pay their last respects. Cremation will take place on Tuesday, 11th November at 5.30 p.m. at Borella Cemetery. We, the family of late Dr. D. S. Liyanarachchi, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers and support extended to us during this difficult time. May he attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana!
