Dr. TISSA VITARANA – With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Dr. TISSA VITARANA on 13th February, who passed away peacefully at home. A distinguished Scientist, Statesman and lifelong advocate for social justice, he was the beloved husband of the late Kamini Vitarana, father of Menika, Ranmal and Ranil, and brother of Nihal and the late Nalin. Dr. TISSA VITARANA’s remains lie at the N.M. Perera Centre, 106, N.M. Perera Mawatha (Cotta Road), from 8.00 a.m. on Saturday, 14th February. Funeral will take place at the New Crematorium, General Cemetery, Borella, at 4.30 p.m. on Monday, 16th February.
