It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of HEMIKA FONSEKA, dearly beloved wife of Sunil Fonseka and devoted mother of Chathuranga Fonseka and mother-in-law to Nuwandi Rathnayake. She was the much-loved sister of Booshana, Sadana and Ravi Panamaldeniya. Hemika was a kind-hearted, graceful soul whose gentle presence touched the lives of all who knew her. Her sudden passing has left her family, friends, and loved ones in deep shock and sorrow. Her mortal remains lie at Jayaratne Funeral Parlour from 1.00 p.m. onwards on Thursday, 21st August 2025. Cremation on Friday 22nd Aug 2025. Forever loved, forever remembered. May she attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana.
