Professor KAMAL de ABREW (May 2, 1932- June 29, 2022) dearly beloved husband of Chulanee (Nanayakkara), loving father of Ravi, Ushani, and Mayoma, treasured grandfather of Celine and Sidath, loving father-in-law of Dilhar and Greg, brother of late Kamini, late Shanthi, Dr. Palitha, Swinitha, and Dr. Nelum. Remains lie at Mahinda Funeral Parlour, Mount Lavinia for viewing from 2 p.m to 4.30 p.m. on Thursday, July 7th, 2022, followed by Cremation at 5.00 p.m. at Nisala Sevana crematorium, Mount Lavinia. In remembrance of Professor Kamal de Abrew’s life, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Colombo Centre for Special Education, 80/7, Layards Road, Colombo 5.
