Beloved wife of Bennet of 52 years,\u200b loving mother of David and Timothy,\u200b mother-in-law of Renuka and Sharla,\u200b grandmother of Analise and Joshua,\u200b sister of the late Balan and Eva Anketell; Drs. Inpam and Karunyan Arulanantham; Dr. Arul and Ranji Anketell; Suren and Christine Anketell and Gnane and Chandra Anketell,\u200b daughter of the late Ernest Balasingham and Thapomani (died when Damayanti was 2 months). Her father remarried the late Susan Anketell whom she knew as her mother. Damayanti was a teacher loved by her students in Sri Lanka and the US. She taught high school science and scripture at Methodist College,\u200b Sri Lanka.
