Husband of Yvonne Karamali (nee Gunasekara),\u200b son-in-law of the late Fred &amp; Daisy Gunasekara of \u201cWoodlands\u201d,\u200b Ethul Kotte,\u200b brother-in-law of the late Siri Rupesinghe,\u200b Freda Weerasinghe,\u200b Grace Samarasinghe,\u200b Ruth Wijesinghe,\u200b Frederick Gunasekara &amp; Charles Gunasekara,\u200b Bashir (RIP) passed away peacefully after a brief illness,\u200b on October 28th at his home in MA,\u200b USA. He was 90 years old &amp; surrounded by his wife &amp; three children &#8211; Riaz Karamali,\u200b Dilara Hafiz &amp; Nahid Markosian,\u200b all in the USA. His brother &amp; wife from Toronto,\u200b Canada &amp; sister from AZ,\u200b USA were also by his side. Bashir retired from the IMF,\u200b WA,\u200b DC,\u200b as Asst. Director of the Middle Eastern Dept.,\u200b at the early age of 56. He spent many happy years of retirement,\u200b travelling to several countries of the world with his family. Bashir will be remembered for his wit,\u200b great sense of humour and generosity.
