Mrs. Ganeshwary Rajaratnam

With profound sorrow and deep gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Ganeshwary Rajaratnam, beloved mother of Rajaratnam Sivananthan (former President of the Union College Old Students’ Association – Melbourne), at the age of 97, at 2:15 AM on 11 April 2026.Born on 31 May 1929, she lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, sacrifice, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Thambiah Rajaratnam, and the cherished daughter of the late Mr. Velliyampalam and Mrs. Rasaluxmi of Sithankerny, Ganeshwary and Thambiah Rajaratnam were blessed with five sons:- Rabinthiranathan (Ravi), Jeganathan (Bala), Kulandranathan (Kulan), Vaithiyanathan (Ranjan), and Union College alumnus Sivanathan (Siva), She was the heart and foundation of her family and will be deeply missed by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren,
