It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Thuraiappah Elyatamby on June 11, 2026, at the age of 87, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. To family and friends, he was affectionately known as Thurai, Ilayar, and Tamby.Born on January 2, 1939, in Nallur, Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Tamby was the beloved son of Thuraiappah and Sinnammah. He lived a life marked by humility, curiosity, dedication, and an unwavering devotion to his family.
Tamby is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 56 years, Thyalnayaki; his daughters, Uma and Usha; his sons-in-law, Jude Mohan Sebastiampillai and Lineker Panchaseelan; his beloved grandson, Ethan Sebastiampillai; his extended family, including brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews; and many dear friends whose lives he touched through his kindness, wisdom, and generosity.He was predeceased by his parents, K. Thuraiappah and Sinnammah, and his beloved brothers, SriAnanthakumar and Paskarakumaran.
