REV. FR. XYXTUS NICHOLAS FERNANDO KURUKULASURIYA of the Archdiocese of Colombo, expired on Monday, 8th June 2026. He is the beloved son of the late Mr. Austin Joseph Fernando Kurukulasuriya and late Mrs. Anna Mary Ethelreda Leema Kurukulasuriya. The mortal remains of Rev. Fr. Xyxtus Kurukulasuriya will be brought to the Archbishop’s House Chapel on Tuesday 09th June at 10.00 a.m. and will lie in state until 4.00 p.m. Thereafter, the remains will be transferred to St. Nicholas’ Church, Munnakkaraya. On Wednesday, 10th June at 11.00 a.m., the remains will be taken to St. Mary’s Church, Grand Street. The Requiem Mass will be celebrated there at 3.00 p.m., followed by burial at the “Magngnokka Hena” General Cemetery, Negombo. – Archbishop’s House, Borella.
